Born 1928, he is an American artist, set designer and costume designer belonging to the Pop Art movement. His works are often made of bold, simple and iconic images and particularly numbers and short words like 'EAT', 'HUG' and 'LOVE'. He also well-known for painting the unique basketball court formerly used by Milwaukee Bucks in that city’s U.S. Cellular Arena, with a large M shape taking up each half of the court.
