Born 1968 in Czechoslovakia, he currently works in Canada and Czechoslovakia. His macabre, gothic, frightening sculptures express the endless human search for perfection and convey a constant state of rebirth. Stipl focuses on the evolution of the form and uses himself as a prototype (together with other human and animal models) in sometimes sadist representations of various poses and situations. His iperrealistic style and care for details, together with his talent in technical terms, make his creations even more striking, looking like they were frozen in a primitive time that was full of violence and struggle for survival.
