Born in 1940 in Torino, where in 1967 makes his appearance in the poor art. In 1971 he discovered his passion for Afghanistan and start the work of art that relies on Afghan embroiderers. Conceptual artist, versatile, kaleidoscopic, produces a wide variety of works. The time, its charming and irresistible passing, is perhaps the unifying theme in the plurality of iconography and typologically approach of Boetti. He has exhibited in the most prestigious and emblematic shows of his generation and was present six times at the bienniale of Venice. He passed away in 1994 in Rome.
