Born 1962 in Rome, since 1996 he has been using pink fruity chewing-gum for his culture. His works mingle official status of art with the lightness of childhood. Architect, set designer and member of the roman Pastificio Cerere Foundation, Savini is able to express the ephemeral side of our lives. The contrast between his huge sculptures (some are even higher than 2 meters) and the perishable material they are made of is one of Savini’s main interests and he preferred to use chewing-gum as an instrument for his art, also because of its double pop nature (color and affordability).
